SACRAMENTS
Anointing of the Sick
Anointing of the Sick is one of the seven sacraments. It is the sacrament that helps those that are seriously ill from illness or old age. The sacrament prays for the physical healing of the ill person, if that be the will of God. Its primary purpose, however, is spiritual. It offers us grace to strengthen our faith and our ability to accept and endure the trials and struggles that come with serious illness. Anointing is offered communally three times a year as well as by appointment. For an appointment, please call the Parish Office.
Baptism
Our parish is committed to offering parents and godparents the instruction and support they need to celebrate the Sacrament of Baptism and to understand the responsibilities and duties living the sacramental life requires. We are here to assist all who wish to unite themselves to Christ and His Church through the Sacrament of Baptism.
Confession
Confessions are on Saturdays from 4 p.m. until 5 p.m. in the Chapel. To help you prepare for Confession, click here to download an examination of conscience and the Act of Contrition prayer.
Confirmation
High school students who are accepted into the Confirmation program will participate in a two-year process involving prayer, study, and service to prepare for full initiation into the Catholic Church. Some aspects of this preparation will include parental attendance.
First Communion
Students must be at least seven years of age and have at least one year of Catholic elementary religious instruction before being accepted into the final phase of sacramental preparation.
Marriage
Our Lady of Perpetual Help Parish offers a comprehensive marriage preparation program for couples anticipating marriage in the Church. Our goal is to assist couples who wish to live their married life united in Christ and the Church.
